I absolutely LOVE getting out of the city when it's super hot. After 7 years in NYC I'm still in awe at how amazingly gorgeous the Hamptons are in only a 2 hour car ride from the city. Last weekend I got some much needed sun at the beach and had lot's of laughs with girlfriends. I heart summer.

Bright yellow linen sweater...why not. Yellow shorts...yep, done.

Little White summer version of the Little Black Dress but only wearable because I was having one of those 1 in a few months "I-feel-skinny-days"...the day where you bust out the tiniest thing in your closet because you know you won't have a chance to wear it again for awhile. Well, I went with an Herve Leger...a bold move I know. BUT, it was girls night out and I just couldn't resist myself. We hit Pulqueria for dinner (for a somewhat limited salad so that I could STAY in the dress), followed by Bagatelle, and then Catch (which resulted in a dance must have been the dress). Cheers, Happy Wednesday People! ;)

Time Off...

A week "off" from blogging, 4 weeks from running, and I am ready to start training again. I had a bum ankle and was advised to totally stop running for 4 weeks...this is cruel to someone who is coming off a marathon high and diving head first into training for my first Ultra Marathon (53 mi.). am I going to get up to 50mi/week with a MONTH off from running?! Luckily, time flies. I'm there and feeling really great about my slow start into a 7-mo training plan.

Anyone who is a runner has read 'Born To Run' by Christopher McDougall and he basically started the "natural" running philosophy. I am of course on board with the idea but can't stand the look of the Vibram Five Fingers shoes...this is a fashion blog after all. So I settled (in the name of baby steps) on New Balance Minimus's new collection for my entre into natural running. The shoe combines a minimal Vibram sole with a 4mm heel drop and lightweight upper. Tomorrow I'll try them out on a tiny 3-mi run. Getting excited...

Chanel Half Moon

I fell in love with the Elephant color of this Chanel Half Moon's the perfect grey/taupe. Headed out to a fundraiser at Norwood I decided to take it for a spin with this 3.1 Philip Lim gauze dress, Jimmy Choo sparkle shoes, and Alexis Bittar silver cuff. It was SO hot in the city last weekend that my hair was literally in a state of perpetual bun/updo the entire weekend...loving a twisty bun secured with these snap pins. I felt like I was back in ballet class. :)

Happy Tuesday!

Love the open back detail on this dress...

Dammit Zimmerman

I've been spending too much time at the Zimmerman store in Soho...the stuff is just too damn cute! The swim collection is literally the most creative that I've seen and the ready-to-wear is just very sexy and...well, wearable. Instead of posting pic's of myself frolicking around in my new bikini, I'll leave it to the professionals. Check out some of the creative genius that is Zimmerman below:
