It's a De Kooning kind of day.

MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) in NYC recently opened it's most expansive (nearly 200 works) and expensive ($3 Billion) retrospective to date devoted to the career of Willem de Kooning, one of the most prolific artists of the 20th century. We went last week before it opened to the public and stood in awe of the incredible pieces. The exhibit was well curated showing the different periods of De Koonings career and how his work changed throughout his life. It was incredible to see how this artist grew and changed over the course of career spanning nearly 70 years. I highly recommend spending an afternoon at the museum to see the exhibit while it's here.

Walking around up town admiring the local "art" of the cityscape
