NYC is awesome today! Perfect weather. Headed out to dinner last night at Batali's Del Posto with friends I picked this purple 3.1 Phillip Lim dress because it's forgiving as I expand over the next 7 courses. Big meal = big dress! :) Why be uncomfortable right!? (...I had to hit a soul cycle class this morning to feel somewhat normal again.)

I wore it with Theyskens Theory wedges, Orange Flip Lipstick from Revlon, Givenchy Bag, Gap leather cuff, and thee Gold Leather earrings from this cool boutique called EVA in Nolita.

The panels on the dress give it great movement and I love mixing the orange lipstick with the purple!

Hot in Herre

Man, it's hot right now. This weekend I was in the mid-west (read: humid) and I thought I was going to die it was so humid. When it's cut-through-the-air-with-a-knife humid out, I can only go for the hat. In the humid weather my thin hair gets frizzy and flat at the same time...oh yes, both. So I hide...hee hee. :)

Pre Lust

Everywhere I look it's pre-fall galore. This get's me really excited...although I'm not ready for the cold quite yet. I LOVE seeing all of the styles come in and I start making my "must have" lists! Remember-the BEST stuff comes out in the pre-fall collections (this is of course my opinion). So get on it! Speaking are a few staples that I am lusting for fall.

Feeling the Soul...

All New this one. It will change your life...okay that's a little dramatic but seriously, amazingness ahead.

Last year a little spin studio opened in Tribeca close to where I live and it started an obsession/love affair that is still going strong today. That studio is called Soul Cycle! Now, I am NOT a spin person...or so I thought. Usually during a spin class I'm counting down the torturous minutes until the 45min or hour is over. I go home irritated...leg's shot. Enter Soul Cycle. This class is RIDICULOUS. Just ridiculous. I of the most intense experiences ever. It's 45 minutes of the sweatiest, fun, crazy, intense, power workout you can get in NYC. At least that I've ever experienced (I'm too chicken to try another full Bikram class...that's another post, another time). Literally, during a Soul Cycle class the lights are out, music is blasting, and you are bouncing all over your bike. I probably look totally ridiculous....but I'm in rock-out heaven. AND it's dark, so who cares! Don't think you're getting just legs because this puppy works your arms (the arm song is killer) and core.

So...if you're looking for some soul, I'll see you on the bike!

PS-No...I'm not getting paid to endorse Soul Cycle, I'm just one of those crazy fans. ;)

Raw Oatmeal

I'm a big breakfast person...big time. I always wake up hungry. Who doesn't? Not sure how those people who just drink coffee do it?! "Aren't you hungry?!" I would die...just die. Or be really cranky... Anyways, I'm always on the look out for healthy/raw breakfasts. I've been making this raw oatmeal all week and it's pretty darn good.

Directions: Combine 1/4 cup Organic Steel Cut Oats (Must make sure these are raw-most commercial brands heat them prior to packaging) and 1/2 cup water in a container and soak overnight night. In the morning dump the extra water off the top and throw the oats into the blender with either 1 Banana, 1 Apple, or 1 Pear (your choice). I also add a dollop of raw honey and sprinkle some cinnamon to taste. Blend for a minute and pour into a bowl. Add raw almonds/dried figs/raisins/blackberries/blueberries....anything raw and tasty. Voila! Raw Oatmeal. So good!!

For this morning I used a Banana, Dried Organic Figs, and Blueberries. It's raw, dairy-free, totally filling, and e-a-s-y. (Requirement for self-made BK)

Happy Wednesday. XO-Tiff

NYC in Bloom

This weekend was gorgeous in NYC! Weather like this always makes me happy. Headed out for Sushi at Sasabune (my favorite!) I was feeling this floral top from Banana Republic. I paired it with J Brand bell bottoms, small gold rings from Banana Republic, brown skinny belt from Rag and Bone, and this crazy gold bracelet that I found at Neiman Marcus last year.

This blouse was a little too baggy so I wrapped a skinny belt around twice to give me some more shape.

Date Night

Friday night date night was screaming Leger to me...but I needed to rough it up a little so it wasn't so put together. I arrived at this Navy Herve Leger, Alaia Booties, Gap leather cuff, Dannijo Tangled Chain Necklace, and Chanel Clutch to get me there. Hot and a little rough the same time. Peeerrrrfect for date night!

 Happy Weekend! xo

Work Horse

Work bags are just that...worked to the bone. Hauling them around in rain, heat, snow, taxi, train, subway, and car they take a beating. In NYC this is magnified. You've got to have a durable work bag to make it through a season...literally. Don't even ask me about the Nylon Prada that had a zipper malfunction on the subway. Not good!

I use this one by was a gift from someone special for completing the NYC marathon last year. Now...if I had known a Goyard bag was at the end of those 26.2 miles, I might have picked up the pace a bit. THAT'S motivation. :)

Love the Marigold Lining!

Don't want to spend your 401K on 'Good Ol Trusty'...Here are some other options that seem up to the job...and HOT for that matter.

This weekend I was in LA for my dear friend Summer's bachelorette party. We had the best time!! In Summer's honor...and her fabo style...I'm posting her outfit! How perfect for an afternoon on a beach cruiser cruising down to Venice Beach! High-waisted denim shorts, tank, large floppy hat, bohemian print scarf, and gold sandals. Love lazy summer days!

NYC Weekender

It was raining last weekend in NYC and HOT! What better than to throw on a Barbara Bui 3/4 sleeve rain coat with J Brand cut-off's, See by Cloe T-shirt, Dolce Vita wedges, and a loose braid.

Leather wrap cuff from Gap and Silver bangles from Satya!

Luckily, I'm in LA this weekend and soaking up the gorgeous weather with friends! Hooray for no rain.

Raw Cleanse = Cranky Pants

I wanted to start the week off I decided to do a day of raw food and juices for a mini-detox. I am a HUGE fan of One Lucky Duck, Organic Avenue, and Liquiteria in NYC. Every week I stock green juice and other raw items in my fridge to take to the office. I will post a ton more on this topic later because I could go on for days about raw food....yep I'm one of those people. However, I recently discovered The Juice Press in the East Village and decided to give it a try.

Today's Food...2 Juices, Raw Oatmeal, Raw Salad, Nectarine, Raw Kale Chips (1 serving), and Raw cookies. Mmmm.

Now...let's be honest. Cleansing always makes me a little bit of a cranky pants. I mean who doesn't get cranky when all you eat is raw juice and food for the day!? What I LOVE about cleansing is that it makes you realize (quickly) what foods you crave and need to cut back on. It also is amazing for your skin, body, and makes you feel great inside/out...that is, after the cranky phase has passed. :)

Cheers to a big glass of RAW juice! XO

Happy 4th!

Looking in the closet for something festive this 4th and found these red silk shorts from Alice Ritter! Paired them with a grey tank from Barney's, Rag and Bone blazer, Theyskens Theory Wedges, Tod's clutch, and my Dior Joallarie ring and I was set to hit the town.

How great to resurrect something from your closet! I haven't worn these shorts in two seasons! I found this new line of antioxidant packed lipsticks from Bite at Sephora and fell in love with this red. What a perfect red with these shorts. Love.

Happy 4th Everyone!!

Friday Night Spikes

Casual night out with friends calls for comfortable J Brand jeans, Etoile Isabel Marant top, Tod's clutch, and spiky Valentino Heels. These pumps are lady-like and tough at the same time. I had been looking for spiky heels and thought the ones from Louboutin seemed a little too contrived to pull off. These ones seemed just right...only Valentino could pull off spikes and lady like all in the same sentence.

Notice the french cuff...jeans folded under into a cuff to show off a little more ankle without committing to tailoring! This trick I learned from Garance Dore here.

Cheers! xo
